Chrysalis Hours, Fees and Holidays

We are open 48 weeks per year with 2 weeks closure at Christmas and 2 weeks closure in August.

We offer a two-tier system of attendance to cater both for parents seeking Term-time only of 39 weeks p.a. and also for parents requiring Full-time attendance of 48 weeks p.a.

The school also closes for bank holidays. With all children it is assumed that all holidays will be taken during traditional school breaks and therefore no fee reductions can be made for absence through additional holidays.

Lunch Club from 12.00 noon – 1.00pm is also an enjoyable time for the children who wish to bring a packed lunch. This time can be used to either extend the morning or afternoon session or to stay the full day and is charged at a pro-rata hourly rate.

These prices are without government funding. Please see website section on funding for more information.

Morning Sessions 8.30am – 12 noon £26.25 per session
Afternoon Sessions 1.00pm – 4.00pm £22.50 per session
Lunch Club 12 noon – 1.00pm £7.50

Extended hours from 4.00pm to 6.00pm are optional in ½ hourly intervals at a pro-rata rate of: £7.50 per hour

A 10% discount is applicable from the net fees payable for both children for the number of sessions a brother or sister attends.
A minimum of two sessions is required in order to encourage your child to settle and gain meaningful benefit from all we have to offer.
Fees are payable four-weekly in advance. We regret that we are unable to offer any reduction in fees due to absences through illness or holidays other than those detailed below.
Four weeks’ notice or fees in lieu are required for a reduction in sessions or withdrawal from the nursery.

For term time attendance:

Children are welcome to attend during the holidays, other than when the School is closed. Please give as much notice as possible if you wish your child to attend during a holiday period. Normal fees will apply for such attendances.

Please note: Should you wish your child to take holidays outside of the listed holiday periods you are required to pay your normal fees in order to keep their place open. Children attending only during term time are entitled to the School holidays listed below

Academic Year 2025-2026

Please note: to keep our holidays in step with Dorset Council school holidays requires one less week of attendance for Term-Time only children. This academic year Term-Time only attendance will be for 38 weeks rather than 39.
