Hayeswood information
Although we are an independent nursery with strong ties to several of the local area primary schools, many of our children do graduate to Hayeswood 1st School. We have an extremely harmonious relationship with the school who’s reception class teachers visit our school leavers in the nursery during the term before they go on to big school.
We are also lucky to be able to access Hayeswood’s outdoor play equipment which provides more challenging physical opportunities for our children, their Forest School area and the nature trail in the school grounds.
Progressing to school:
At Chrysalis we spend a lot of time getting our children ready for ‘Big School’. Life-skills such as washing hands, dressing, following instructions, sharing and looking after belongings all contribute to a smooth transition. If you want your child to graduate to Hayeswood the school suggest visiting in the Autumn of the preceding year.
